I’m Halfway Home!...... Already!

Well, I had another dentist visit this week and it marks the halfway point in my Invisalign experience!

I gotta say, the summer has been flying by and this process has really been a relatively easy and un-intrusive addition to my lifestyle….kinda wishing I had done this a lot sooner!

I had to get another “button” put on one of my teeth during this last visit. Only took a few extra minutes and I was in and out in about 20 minutes. This should be the last button, barring one of the current ones falling off anyways. I now have a total of twelve of these little “attachments” to help move my teeth into place.

Speaking of in and out fast…..One of the best things so far about Stonecreek has been their respect of my time. Don’t you hate it when you have a 9:30 appointment and you don’t even get taken back till 10:00 or later? Every time I walk in I am greeted and within a very few minutes I am taken back for whatever my procedure is. Once I’m in the chair, no fooling around and waiting either, someone is there to get started. It is no accident, they take their scheduling very seriously every “room” is computerized and your next appointment is made before you ever get out of the chair. You can sign up for e-mail and text reminders of your appointments in addition to the normal phone call reminder too!

I guess Dr. Biehle thinks I need to shed some pounds or something….I only got two sets of trays this time so I have to come back in four weeks for some “slimming” or maybe she called it “slenderizing”. Actually, it has nothing to do with weight loss at all; it has to do with shaving some space between some of my teeth to allow them to move and line up correctly. That should be interesting….I’ll let you know about this one next time but I have been assured that it is really no big deal.

By the way, I actually knew this was all coming, and it really was all explained quite thoroughly to me, the last attachment, the slenderizing all of it!

Right from the get go you are shown the progress of the straightening in your digital “clincheck”. You can see a simplified version of my clincheck by clicking here. Each movement represents a new set of trays. Not shown in this simplified version, is the placement if all the attachments and when they will be put on as well as when and where the “slenderizing” will be done. Pretty cool really, no surprises!

I’ll update you in a few weeks after my slenderizing procedure.
